Are you sick of porn sucking up your time? Your energy? Your heart?
Scared of losing her? Or having her find out?
Tired of having to hide what you are doing? Of living a double life?
You've tried to quit on your own. But willpower is seldom enough.
You need more insight. Skills. And support. Like with anything else, a mentor to show you how.
I'm John Williams. I know what it's like to have a porn and masturbation habit that feels out of control. That you "quit" over and over. And that you don't know how to tell your wife about. Again.
Maybe struggle with depression, too? Anxiety? I have, also. Loads of guilt? Afraid of letting people really know you? Yes, I have been there too.
I've gotten free. I have a 35 year happy marriage to a wonderful woman. I have men to go to for accountability and support.
You can get free, too. There's power in being connected with someone who understands.
And understanding yourself better.
Want to compare notes with other guys? Get challenged and encouraged to strive for more? Seeking more authentic connections to other men?
Group coaching and accountability is a strong boost to regaining control and freedom.
One on one Coaching
Got value from groups but want to go deeper? Or prefer the customized attention and privacy of personal coaching?
Individual mentoring and accountability is the most powerful way to take your recovery journey to the next level.
All in one
I'm trained in Marriage and Family Counseling, and also in porn and masturbation addiction and infidelity.
So I can help you with your habit and in repairing your relationship with your woman.
You do need a specialist in porn and sex addiction. Most other therapists make the mistake of focusing on contributing psychological issues instead of helping you control the habit itself.
I also am a licensed Mental Health Counselor, so I can help you with any depression, anxiety or other issues that might be making things worse (for those living in New York).
Meeting by video call is a lot more convenient, more confidential, and inexpensive compared to in-person sessions.
We can connect at home, work or even a parked car.
And you won't run into your co-worker in the waiting room.
Super-securely encrypted to protect your privacy.
If you live in the New York City or northern Jersey area, we can meet in person, too, in my comfortable office.
I favor research-proven methods, so I can go strictly scientific with you. If you're not religious, this is a comfortable place for you.
But I value my own faith. If spirituality is a resource for you too, I will capitalize on that asset.
Raised in a conservative home and feeling a lot of guilt? I am particularly effective with that.
Christian? Muslim? Believer in a Higher Power? I genuinely respect all perspectives and will honor what is important to you.
in-person Meetings in NYC:

do you take insurance?
No. But the good news is that my services are already discounted compared to others (since I save on clerical services). My group coaching fee is about the same as an insurance co-pay for most counseling.
More good news. No insurance means I can keep your records completely confidential. And you don't have to get a mental health diagnosis that remains on your permanent health record.
For New York office sessions, I will prepare the invoice for you to submit to your insurance company, as an out of network provider.
do you have early or late hours?
Best hours are the late morning and afternoon, but I have some early morning slots available. I have group coaching on selected evenings. Contact me to see what is open.
Is my privacy protected if we meet online?
Yes. The Zoom platform we use is encrypted to federal HIPAA confidentiality standards.
You can also conceal your online group identity with a nickname, if you like.
how long does coaching usually last?
On average, most men go for 12 months of weekly group coaching or 6 months of individual sessions.
Do You Work with couples?
Though couples coaching is a specialty of mine, I will coach you individually to help you undo the damage to your relationship and rebuild trust and connection.
With physical or digital infidelity, I recommend a separate couples counselor who specializes in this. And I also advise your partner to get her own coaching and support, to help her cope with how the infidelity is affecting her.
